With Buffalo, Kelly went to four consecutive Super Bowls, made five Pro-Bowl appearances, and made the All-Pro team three times. He was a gunslinger, a leader, and the toughest guy on either side of the ball. Over that decade he threw for 35,467 yards, 237 TDs, and 175 INTs. He played eleven seasons in the NFL, each one with the Bills. The city fell in love with him, and that love was shared by Jim soon enough. Of course he chose the former, and now the rest is history. Then, between 19 they appeared in four consecutive Super Bowls. The team won back-to-back AFL Championships in 19. Those were the peaks of the Bills organization. You will, however, notice that many of these players are from one of two teams: the Super Bowl team, or the AFL team. However, the Bills are a storied franchise with a surprisingly deep pool of talent. ![]() We haven’t done much lately to disprove that.
